A 50-year-old woman who was hit by an SUV in a McDonald’s drive-thru died from her injuries days later, police in North Carolina said.

Linda Jenkins was walking through the McDonald’s parking lot on Randleman Road in Greensboro on Sept. 21 when she fell down, police told WGHP.

As Jenkins was on the ground, a 2005 Cadillac Escalade hit her as it moved through the drive-thru line, according to the News & Record.

The driver of the SUV, 27-year-old Aleyah LeGrande, faces charges of failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision with a pedestrian and misdemeanor death by vehicle, WXII reported.
