A fourth-grade boy went viral on Twitter after singing “All I Want for Christmas is You” - and the rendition even caught the attention of the original celebrity singer Mariah Carey.

Jen White-Johnson shared a video of her son, Knox, singing and dancing along with his classmates to the song in Baltimore, Maryland. Knox has autism, she shared in the post.

“My kid is everything! I hope Mariah sees this,” she wrote on Twitter.

Her wish was granted. Over 345,000 people saw the heartwarming video - including Carey.

But the celebrity didn’t just see the video — she retweeted it and thanked Knox for his performance.

“Your kid is everything!!!!!! Knox, you made my day. Your joy gives me and everyone watching joy,” Carey said on Twitter. “Thank you for reminding me why I wake up in the morning and do what I do. I love you.”

Knox now has the tweet framed in his room, he told WBAL.

“It feels awesome to be famous,” Knox told WBAL. “If I’m famous for the rest of my life what would I do? Make more albums or something.”
