How, where to buy Woodford Reserve’s Secretariat Kentucky Derby bourbon bottle
Woodford Reserve, the presenting sponsor of the Kentucky Derby, is honoring one of the greatest moments in horse racing history with its 2023 commemorative Derby bottle.
This year’s special release bourbon bottle features the image of Secretariat in honor of the 50th anniversary of his 1973 win. Secretariat, who is buried in Paris at Claiborne Form, went on to win the Triple Crown.
Secretariat’s Derby-winning time of 1:59:40 is the still the fastest finish in the mile and a quarter race ever.
Artwork by Kentucky native Jaime Corum show Secretariat in the Winner’s Circle at Churchill Downs with the garland of roses.
Corum, who is known for her equine portraits, received her Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Kentucky.
“I hope that my painting for this year’s Woodford Reserve Derby bottle, “Still The Greatest,” allows us to remember that moment of dreamlike perfection when Secretariat won the 1973 Kentucky Derby,” Corum said in a press release.

Where to buy special Woodford Reserve bourbon bottle
The bottle will be available to buy for purchase globally in stores for a suggested retail price of $55; a special presale on ReserveBar began March 1.
“This is our most collectible Derby bottle yet, as Secretariat is perhaps the most revered and most loved racehorse in history,” Woodford Reserve master distiller Elizabeth McCall said in a statement. “Even 50 years after his stunning achievement, Secretariat’s Triple Crown run is still considered one of the most iconic achievements in sports.”
