39-year-old man hit and killed by snowplow while walking, Utah troopers say
A man was killed after being struck by a snowplow, Utah troopers said.
The 39-year-old was walking in West Haven, about 40 miles northwest of Salt Lake City, when he was hit by the “privately owned snowplow” around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, the Utah Department of Safety said in a news release.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he died, troopers said.
On New Year’s Day, actor Jeremy Renner, known for playing Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was crushed by a snowplow in Nevada while he was trying to prevent it from hitting his nephew, CNN reported.
“I’d do it again,” Renner says in an interview with ABC News’ Diane Sawyer set to air Thursday, April 6, “‘cause it was going right at my nephew.”
