Ultra cool retro house for sale in Texas has offers pouring in. Check out the inside
Have you seen this ridiculously awesome house rocking the real estate market in Houston, Texas? Take a good look — because offers have been pouring in.
And there’s a good reason.
Just check out the photos of the interior of the one-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home currently listed for $465,000.
The listing on Realtor.com touted “multiple offers.”
“Thoughtfully designed by local architect Ralph A Anderson, Jr., whose previous works included the Astrodome and Houston Post Building, and his last project before retiring , this custom home is truly unique,” the listing says.
The 3,294-square-foot house even has a plaque with Anderson’s name on the exterior of the house, photos show.
But it’s really the retro allure of the interior that’s the home’s largest draw.
“We had offers within 12 hours of listing,” listing agent Mark Fontenot told Realtor.com. “I was surprised. I knew it was [either going to be] so popular, or it would sit on the market for six months, because it was unique and different.”
Built in 1988, the home has a very technicolor throwback feel with its block windows, courtyard in the entryway and more including:
Elevator
“Kitchen counter tops imported from Spain”
High ceilings
Study
Natural light
“It’s in excellent condition,” Fontenot told Realtor. “It’s in original condition. They haven’t changed a thing. It’s still pretty much 1988.”
Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty–Central Houston Brokerage holds the listing.
The home is currently labeled as “pending.”
