Watch musician perform with guitar — and spoons — during South Carolina traffic stop
A musician was pulled over in a parking lot — and started performing for police in South Carolina, video shows.
The man got out his guitar and spoons for the debut of the “Traffic Stop Concert Series,” according to footage the Pickens Police Department shared April 18 on Facebook.
“If you know a cop or (ever) heard one say, ‘No traffic stop is the same’ or ‘there’s no routine traffic stop,’ this video will show that not all traffic stops are the same,” officers wrote.
In the South Carolina case, police said the man was pulled over and asked them if they wanted to hear his music.
“We couldn’t turn down the opportunity,” officers wrote.
That’s when the musician — described as a “multi-talented” North Carolina resident — took out his instruments. Video shows him playing music while standing near a car and sitting in its front seat with the door open.
“Thank you sir for giving us our first Traffic Stop Concert,” police wrote. “No citations were issued at the end of the concert.”
Police didn’t say why they pulled the man over.
Pickens is roughly 20 miles west of Greenville, South Carolina.
