18-year-old dies after falling from roof of moving pickup truck, Alaska officials say
An 18-year-old died after falling off the top of a pickup truck in Alaska, troopers said.
Alaska state troopers on June 3 got reports of a person that had “fallen from a moving vehicle in Nikiski and was seriously injured,” according to a June 5 news release.
The 18-year-old, identified as Justin Martin of Nikiski, was riding on top of the pickup truck, troopers said.
Paramedics tried to save him but weren’t successful, police said.
A 16-year-old driving the pickup was charged with DUI, police said. Troopers didn’t say if anyone else was in the truck.
