Dad of 5 ‘nearly blacked out’ when he saw big win from lottery scratch-off in Maryland
A father of five “nearly blacked out” when he saw his win from a scratch-off lottery game in Maryland.
He won $100,000.
The 45-year-old man stopped by a gas station in Ellicott City and bought a lottery ticket like he’s done in the past, the Maryland Lottery said in an Aug. 8 news release.
As he was scratching one ticket, another game caught his eye: Hot 7s Multiplier.
He bought the $10 game and started scratching.
“I nearly blacked out,” the man told lottery officials when he realized he won the top prize of $100,000.
He showed his winning ticket to the clerk and celebrated.
The man works as an executive protection agent and plans to use the money on his family, lottery officials said.
This wasn’t his first big win, lottery officials said. He won $10,000 off a lottery game years ago.
Ellicott City is about 15 miles west of Baltimore.
