A missing fire department dog was found taking a dip in Arizona, officials said.

Moxie, an “extremely friendly” yellow Labrador retriever, went missing in Goodyear on Aug. 12, according to a post on Twitter, now rebranded as X, by the Phoenix Fire Department.

Luckily, it wasn’t long before a neighbor found the Arizona Search Dog team member only “streets away from her house,” the post said.

Moxie had apparently decided to cool off in a nearby house’s pool after jumping the fence in her backyard, fire officials said.

Temperatures were in the high 90s Sunday morning, according to data from the National Weather Service.

She was reunited with her family while they were handing out missing posters, the post said.

Now, the family has been given a new task – “Moxie proofing” their fence, officials said.

Goodyear is about 20 miles west of Phoenix.
