Two 15-year-old girls were killed in an ATV crash in rural Oklahoma, officials say.

The girls, identified by Epos Sports Experience as Raeleigh Dennis and Heather Johnson, were riding a Polaris Ranger on Saturday, Sept. 30, when they crashed for unknown reasons, according to KOKI.

They were thrown four feet from the ATV and pronounced dead at the scene, KTUL reported.

The Kellyville Fire Department said the girls were high schoolers in Drumright, about 40 miles southwest of Tulsa.

“Our community has suffered a loss beyond words,” the Drumright Police Department said in a Facebook post.

Raeleigh and Heather were active in Epos Sports Experience, a faith-based nonprofit.

The group said in a Facebook post it will remember the girls “with love and fondness.”

Their personalities were just contagious,” Epos founder and president Shelly Weaver told KOCO. “They were bright and cheerful in their laughter and impacted all of our team greatly.”

Weaver said Raeleigh and Heather often empowered and encouraged others on their team, KJRH reported.

“These girls were so excited. They were excited for the adventure. They were excited for what was coming,” Weaver told KJRH.
