Yes, this is literally a ‘boat house’ for sale in Florida. ‘Shut up and take my money’
Houseboats and boathouses are two completely different things:
A houseboat is meant for living on the water, while a boathouse is “a building to house and protect boats,” The Gazette reports.
A boat house that has landed on the market in Florida is … well, neither.
It’s called the Bull Ship Gulf Front Getaway, and it’s a one-bedroom, two-bathroom, 544-square-foot single-family residence that’s listed in Horseshoe Beach for $580,000. It’s a house that is shaped like a boat but instead of being on the water, it’s on stilts.
It’s seriously fun-looking, whatever it is.
“Real ‘Salt Life Living’ here!” the listing on Zillow.com says. “Watch the Birds and the Boaters from the deck or top deck! Come check out this One of a Kind Boathouse Home Today!”
The interior is somewhat posh, and the roof is clearly the deck complete with a side wheel and endless views of the water. Oh, and there’s a cannon — hopefully it hasn’t functioned in ages.
The unique home was featured on Zillow Gone Wild, a Facebook page and X (formerly known as Twitter) account that highlights interesting houses on the real estate market all over.
“Whatever floats your boat,” one person on Facebook joked.
“Ferry, ferry nice,” another said.
“Is that cannon still functional?” someone asked.
On X, one person responded simply with a gif of someone saying, “shut up and take my money.”
“I love everything about this,” one person said.
Horseshoe Beach is about 165 miles northwest of Orlando.
