Texas authorities say a woman is in serious condition after they say she was stabbed by two children.

The woman, who officials say is possibly in her 50s, was stabbed by a 7-year-old and a 12-year-old, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez’s March 23 post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Gonzalez said the kids took off but were later found.

The woman was taken to a hospital and was listed in serious condition. She was later airlifted to another hospital, according to Gonzalez.

Authorities did not say what led up to the stabbing.
