Argument in Wendy’s parking lot ends with husband fatally thrown from car, cops say

A man died after he was thrown off a car driven by his wife outside a Wendy’s restaurant, Michigan authorities say.

The Holland Department of Public Safety said 45-year-old Robert Baltazar Leon was arguing with his wife in a Wendy’s parking lot around 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 25.

He exited a Dodge Charger they were both in and his wife attempted to drive off, authorities said. That’s when Leon jumped onto the hood of the Charger.

When his wife turned to exit the Wendy’s, Leon was thrown from the vehicle and hit his head on the pavement, the department of public safety said.

Leon died from his injuries in the hospital later that night, according to a March 26 news release. Authorities said the incident remains under investigation and no arrests have been made.

Holland is about a 30-mile drive southwest from Grand Rapids.
