As a Maryland mother browsed lottery scratch-off tickets at a 7-Eleven, an “unusual instant ticket” caught her eye.

Following her “adventurous nature,” the Baltimore woman bought a $3 Loteria ticket, “because of its unusual play style,” Maryland Lottery officials said in a May 20 news release.

“It was different,” she told lottery officials. “It just stood out to me.”

The game, mirrored after a board game, requires players to scratch off caller’s cards and one bonus card, revealing 15 symbols that are then matched to the game board, according to officials.

The woman’s bonus card was the moon symbol, La Luna, which was “under the $30,000 box on the board,” the game’s top prize, officials said.

“My mother noticed that I was a winner and told me,” the woman told lottery officials.

The woman told officials she hasn’t decided how she will spend her prize money.
