Chonky ‘XL cat’ at Wisconsin animal shelter has a personality just as big. Meet Echo
The power of a fluffy cat is undeniable — especially when a chonk has the power to save humans from inanimate objects … like chairs.
A major fluffball named Echo is getting some attention thanks to a facetious Facebook post from the Oshkosh Area Humane Society in Wisconsin. According to the July 25 post, Echo can potentially be their human’s temporary knight in shining armor.
Especially when it comes to heavy living room decor.
“Our cats know the real problems humans have to face everyday. Like flying chairs,” the post joked.
“You just never know when a chair is going to just lift right off the ground on its own accord and move clear across the room. Echo understands. Which is why he’s fighting flying chairs one paw at a time. Don’t worry, humans. Echo’s got your back. And your behind.”
The photo demonstrates Echo’s mystic super powers — one dainty white claw superbly keeping that chair firm on the ground.
“Echo is an XL cat with an XL personality. Give him some time to warm up to you and soon he’ll be head bumping you for pets,” the post continues.
“Echo would love a quiet home where he can watch cat tv, work on his fitness goals, get as many pets as he wants and, of course, help hold down furniture.”
Despite the humorous social media caption, Echo is considered a “special case” by the shelter since he needs an abundance of attention to warm up to new humans — preferably patient ones who have dealt with kitty attitudes in the past.
“He loves his last family, they helped him become the adoring feline he (is) today,” Echo’s profile says.
“Unfortunately, for a long time they were unable to care for him, and the tough decision was made to take him to OAHS where he had the best shot at finding a new forever home. He is clearly a hefty, plus sized stud, and would benefit from a strict diet and an active lifestyle.
He enjoys following my favorite people around, watching cat tv.”
