Pup sharing a name with famed potty-mouth hero needs a home. Meet Deadpool
While one “Deadpool” is busy dominating the box office days after its release, another is merely hoping for a new family to call his own.
Meet Deadpool, who happens to be cuter than his namesake played by Ryan Reynolds, a sweet boy who is currently being cared for by the Kansas Humane Society in Wichita, the shelter said in a July 29 Facebook post.
Currently, Reynolds is starring in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” an action comedy that continues the adventures of the facetious Wade Wilson and his frenemy, James “Logan” Howlett.
“Hugh Jackman wants his buddy, Deadpool to get adopted today,” the shelter said in a playful way.
“Deadpool came to us as a stray, ... so we don’t know too much about him, other than he likes to sniff everything and explore! He initially approached me and sat for a bit, but then went right back to searching around the play yard.”
His likes? They include pets and scratches behind his ears. It’s doubtful that “talking like a sailor” is on that list of favorites like the original Marvel Cinematic Universe character, thankfully.
