Grandpa’s disappearance for 10 days was ‘unlike him,’ family says. Now body found
“Dad come home,” Christopher Coulston’s daughter posted on Facebook four days after the Oklahoma grandfather went missing. Family said his disappearance was “unlike him.”
The man’s truck parked at a golf course had sat idly for two days, and family members were concerned, according to police and family. He was last seen Sept. 3, according to Tulsa police.
After an “extensive” 10-day search, the grandfather’s body was found in a heavily wooded area over a mile from where his truck was parked, police said in a Sept. 13 Facebook post.
His body was approximately 50 yards from Bird Creek, police said. The medical examiner’s office is working to determine his official cause of death.
“I have no idea why my dad would come (to this golf course) but we believe he drove himself as there is a steering wheel lock on his steering wheel,” his daughter, Brandy Coulston, said in a Sept. 6 Facebook post.
Despite finding the body, family members’ questions about the man’s whereabouts have left them with unanswered questions.
“I keep waiting on him to walk in the door,” his daughter, Tina Gray, said in a Sept. 7 Facebook post. “My Dad would NEVER park his truck and leave it. He would NEVER leave his girls or his Grandbabies; we are everything to him.”
