Mystery lingers after 30-year-old found dead, Arizona cops say. ‘Sweetest, kindest soul’
A 30-year-old man with the “sweetest, kindness soul” was found dead in a grassy water retention area in Arizona, police and his family said.
Now, police are trying to find answers.
Grant Siefert was discovered just before 8 a.m. Nov. 11 in the 5600 block West Peoria Avenue, the Glendale Police Department said in a news release.
He had been reported missing the previous day, police said.
Police responded to the scene began investigating his death as homicide.
Siefert went to the area late Nov. 10 or at about 1 a.m. Nov. 11, police said during a Nov. 21 news conference.
His vehicle remains missing, and police said they believe the suspect or suspects involved in his death may be driving it.
The vehicle is a a black four-door, 2011 Ford Escape with a temporary Arizona license plate 392635U.
“If anyone, anyone at all, was in that area, observed anything, heard anything, we please ask that they reach out to us and communicate that information,” police said.

“Grant was the sweetest, kindest soul to everyone he ever met. We will all miss him more than we can say,” his mother, Jennifer Siefert, said in a Facebook post.
Grant Siefert was also described as being “quick to make you smile with his silly jokes,” according to his obituary.
