A man “being verbally and physically aggressive” at a party was doing “burnouts” in his car when officers showed up to stop him, Oklahoma police said.

The 19-year-old sped past police in his car at about 10:30 p.m. Nov. 30, turning onto an adjacent road as officers chased after him, Oklahoma City police said.

As Larnell Morgan sped down the road, he slammed into the back of a 46-year-old woman’s car, police said. Her vehicle uncontrollably spun before slamming into a pole.

Patricia Marse was thrown from the car, leaving her severely injured, according to police. She was rushed to the hospital where she died.

“She had a rough life and did all she could to better herself for her children and husband,” her family said in a GoFundMe. “We all were so proud of the person she was becoming, and this devastating loss has left a hole in our hearts.”

Morgan was arrested and charged with murder, driving under the influence and endangering others while eluding police.

He’s held in Oklahoma County Jail without bond, according to jail records.
