Two teen boys are accused of fatally shooting a 14-year-old on Christmas Eve, Delaware officials said.
Dover police got a call from the Bayhealth Kent Campus on Dec. 24 that a boy, later identified as Juwan Walker, had been shot in the upper body, according to a news release by the police department.
He was flown to New Castle County Hospital and later died, officials said.
Walker was sitting in a parked car when the two teens came up and one of them fired a gun before they fled on foot, officials said.
A 13-year-old was arrested after cops performed a search warrant and a 15-year-old was arrested at an apartment, police said.
Officers didn’t specify what led to the shooting.
The two teens were booked into the Stevenson House Detention Center on charges including murder, conspiracy, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, reckless endangering and criminal mischief, police said.
They are both being held on $181,000 bail, the release said.
