Postal supervisor caught stealing nearly 100 checks from the mail in Missouri, feds say
A former postal supervisor was charged after officials said she stole nearly 100 checks from mail in Missouri.
Benita D. Randle, 42, was charged with theft of mail by a U.S. Postal Service employee, according to a Dec. 26 news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Missouri.
McClatchy News reached out to Randle’s attorney for comment on Dec. 30 but did not immediately hear back.
Randle was working as a postal supervisor at a St. Louis processing and distribution center, officials said.
On Oct. 31, 2023, she stole roughly 90 checks from the mail, according to prosecutors. The worst of the stolen checks is unclear.
Randle pleaded not guilty to the charge on Dec. 26.
