When a Maryland woman scratched her lottery ticket, it left her puzzled.

The Reisterstown woman “matched winning numbers on all 50 blocks” of her $5,000,000 Cash scratch-off ticket, Maryland Lottery officials said in a Jan. 8 news release.

With “so many prizes to add up,” she got confused about her total win on the $50 ticket, lottery officials said.

The woman looked over her ticket, which included prizes of $200, $1,000 and $10,000, lottery officials said.

“I thought I only won $60,000,” the woman told lottery officials.

Turns out, she won a bit more.

“I was very excited when I found out (the total win) was $100,000,” the woman said, adding that she rushed home to tell her family about her win.

The woman told lottery officials she plans to use her winnings to help her daughter buy a new home.

Even though she took home the big win, the woman told lottery officials she’s not done playing $5,000,000 Cash.

“I want to win that $5 million,” the woman said.

Reisterstown is about a 25-mile drive northwest from Baltimore.
