A Michigan lottery player said she’s played the same set of sentimental numbers for three years on draw games, and it finally paid off big.

“I have played Fantasy 5 for years, and I always select family member’s birthdays as my lucky numbers,” 66-year-old Lori Sikora said in a Jan. 28 news release from Michigan lottery officials.

When she saw the winning numbers of the Dec. 26 drawing, she said she “knew pretty quickly” she had won.

Sikora’s winning numbers that landed her the $219,638 Fantasy 5 jackpot were 06-13-17-23-26, according to the release.

“I went running to tell my husband and when I got to him, he thought something was wrong,” Sikora told lottery officials.

“Winning is a wonderful feeling,” she told officials. “Knowing I can help my family means everything to me!”

Sikora said she plans to use her prize to throw a baby shower for her daughter, remodel her bathroom, and take a trip to Las Vegas, per the release.

Warren is about a 20-mile drive northeast from Detroit.
