Man wins huge lottery prize again in Maryland — but this time he doesn’t have to share
A man won another huge lottery prize but lucky for him, this time, he didn’t have to share any of the winnings, Maryland Lottery officials said.
Although, he does plan to share the money with his wife, according to a Jan. 28 news release from the Maryland Lottery.
In July 2024, the supply chain worker landed a $50,000 prize with a Bonus Match 5 ticket but had to share the winnings with the other 25 top-prize winners, officials said.
He had no clue, lottery luck would strike again with another $50,000 win, according to the release.
He got the single $6 Bonus Match 5 ticket with nine game boards at a gas station in Forest Hill, officials said.
Four of the boards were filled with birth dates and ages of family members, and the rest were quick-pick numbers, per the release .
On Jan. 18, he was checking his ticket when the “happy” winner learned of his big win, officials said.
Other than sharing the cash with his wife, he told lottery officials he plans to pay bills
Forest Hill is about a 30-mile drive northeast of Baltimore.
