A lucky lottery player turned $50 into a $1 million prize in Florida.

Someone scored the windfall on a $1,000,000 a Year for Life Spectacular scratch-off game sold at a TravelCenters of America in Vero Beach, the Florida Lottery said Feb. 6.

The winner beat odds of 1-in-185,709 to win the second-tier prize, according to the lottery.

No one had come forward to claim the prize as of Feb. 7, lottery officials told McClatchy News.

Winners have 60 days to claim a scratch-off prize after the game has ended and are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket, the Florida Lottery said.

Vero Beach is about a 100-mile drive southeast from Orlando.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
