Mega Millions player just misses $129M jackpot, but still wins big in Pennsylvania
A Mega Millions player in Pennsylvania just missed the $129 million jackpot after matching all but one number.
The player’s ticket matched five of the winning numbers, all except the Mega Ball, in the Feb. 14 drawing, according to the Mega Millions website.
The winning numbers were 11, 19, 31, 49, 56 with a Mega Ball 16.
The player won $1 million on their winning ticket.
A player in California also matched five numbers to win nearly $1.5 million. In California, lottery prizes are adjusted “based on the number of tickets sold and number of winners,” McClatchy News reported.
No one hit the jackpot, which has since raised to $145 million with a cash option of $66.3 million. The next drawing will be held on Feb. 18.
