A gambler bet $5 on a slot machine in Nevada and ended up walking away with millions.

The out-of-town visitor sat at a Megabucks slot machine at the Virgin River Casino & Lodge in Mesquite, the casino said in a release.

The player then bet $5 on the machine, hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the screen.

Then a life-changing jackpot of $12,371,364.88 appeared on the screen.

It’s the largest jackpot the casino has seen, a spokesperson for the casino told McClatchy News by email.

The winner asked the casino to remain anonymous.

Did I read that right? 12 million? whoa,” one person commented on the casino’s Facebook post.

Mesquite is about an 80-mile drive northeast from Las Vegas.

In Vegas, a gambler bet $1 on a Phoenix Link slot machine at the Aliante Hotel Casino Spa and won more than $16,000, McClatchy News reported.
