Fiancée couldn’t wait to scratch lottery ticket. Prize has her ‘kicking and screaming’
A $3 lottery ticket sat idly in a drawer as an impatient Arkansas woman talked on the phone with her fiancé.
The ticket purchased at a Kwik Stop in Blytheville by the man earlier in the week needed to be scratched, the woman told lottery officials.
The woman predicted she would win $500, but her fiancé had higher hopes.
As she scratched the 10X Cashword ticket, she revealed the 11 words she needed to win big. She won the game’s top prize of $75,000, Arkansas lottery officials said in a March 14 news release.
“I was hollering, kicking, and screaming,” the woman told officials. “I finally won!”
Prior to her most recent prize, the woman had never won more than $100 from playing the lottery, officials said.
She plans to put her winnings toward buying a home, she told officials.
Two more $75,000 prizes remain in the 10X Cashword game.
Blytheville is about a 190-mile drive northeast from Little Rock.
