Cleaners find woman stabbed to death inside vacation home, Utah police say

Cleaners at a vacation rental property reported finding a possible body inside to police, Utah officials said.

Officers responding to the call found the body of a woman with stab wounds on the floor at 11:45 a.m. Sunday, March 23, the Washington City Police Department said in a news release.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene under suspicious circumstances, police said.

Detectives are investigating the death, but police said there is no danger to the public.

Washington City is about a 300-mile drive southwest from Salt Lake City near the borders of Utah, Arizona and Nevada.
