A community alert helped neighbors find a 63-year-old woman after she vanished from her Colorado home, officials said.

The woman was last seen at her house the evening of March 29, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

When she wasn’t back by morning, her worried husband called 911 for help, officials said.

Deputies determined she wasn’t with friends and that she may have left the house in unincorporated Boulder County on foot, officials said in the release.

Search and rescue searched for her on foot, on roads with vehicles and UTVs, and with search dogs and a drone, officials said. An Everbridge notification was also sent out to the community asking if anyone had seen her.

A neighbor who went to search unmarked social trails in the neighborhood called 911 around 4:30 p.m. to report they had found her, officials said. The woman was experiencing a medical issue when deputies and rescuers arrived.

Emergency responders gave her medical treatment and then transferred her into an ambulance that took her to a local hospital “in serious condition,” officials said.

More information about her condition was not available. Her home along Lazy Z Road is about a 15-mile drive southwest from Boulder.
