Kim Kardashian plays Tooth Fairy after daughter loses two teeth in one day
Kim Kardashian is channeling her inner Tooth Fairy — again.
On April 8, the 44-year-old SKIMS founder took to her Instagram to share a glimpse of her most recent portrayal of the Tooth Fairy after her 7-year-old daughter Chicago lost two baby teeth.
The first story showed Chicago’s two missing teeth sitting on a purple envelope addressed to “T.F.”
“Dear Tooth Fairy, I lost my tooth. Please bring…” Chicago wrote on a piece of paper. The rest of the note was hidden by the purple envelope.
Kardashian also shared a video of the note she wrote to Chicago — signed by the Tooth Fairy.
“Chicago, 2 teeth in 1 day. Wow!” she wrote on a pink piece of paper. The rest of the letter was hidden by two $2 bills, one for each missing tooth.
At the end of the video, Kardashian panned the camera over to Chicago’s bed, filled with pink glitter.
Chicago is the third of four children Kardashian shares with rapper Kanye West. The former couple are also parents to North, 11, Saint, 9, and Psalm, 5.
Of course, that means this isn’t the first time Kardashian has had to play Tooth Fairy.
In August 2019, Kardashian shared a video on her Instagram stories explaining how she made the Tooth Fairy experience extra special for her eldest daughter North.
“OK, guys, so it’s late night and what do you do when your daughter loses a tooth? I always like to leave a little glitter trail from the tooth fairy,” she said in the post, per Life & Style.
“It’s like solidified tooth fairy prince going up to her pillow,” she continued in the story. “So I used my ultralight beams and the Pat McGrath glitter and this will do the trick.”
Kardashian’s double-duty as mother and Tooth Fairy continued in January 2023 when her then-7-year-old son Saint lost his first baby tooth.
She celebrated the moment by sharing the note Saint wrote to the Tooth Fairy on her Instagram stories.
“Please check bag. Resting on the note is a pouch bearing the logo for jewelry and apparel company Chrome Hearts,” Saint wrote in the note, per E! News.
Instead of cash, Saint asked for Robux — the virtual currency used in the online gaming platform Roblox.
“North says the tooth fairy writes in cursive, which I haven’t done in 15 years,” Kardashian wrote in a letter signed by the Tooth Fairy. Alongside the note was a $2 bill and gift card for Roblox.
And she’s not the only Kardashian sister to keep the tradition going.
In December 2022, Kim Kardashian’s younger sister, Khloé Kardashian, 40, took to her Instagram to share that her daughter True, born in 2018, lost her first baby tooth.
In the video, True is singing “I lost my tooth. I lost my tooth,” while showing off the gaps in her smile, per Hola! magazine.
In November 2023, Khloé took to social media to share the gifts her daughter received from the Tooth Fairy after losing even more of her baby teeth.
“The tooth fairy brought her a note from the tooth fairy herself covered in a slime activity kit and 23 dollars. She lost 3 teeth so far so that’s why $23,” she wrote on social media, per the Daily Mail.
True is one of two children Khloé Kardashian shares with NBA player Tristan Thompson. The former couple are also parents to son Tatum, born in 2022.
