An 81-year-old property manager was arrested after being accused of attacking a tenant, Hawaii officials said.

On June 30, officers in Honolulu responded to reports of a physical altercation, according to a Facebook by the police department.

When officers arrived, they found the 57-year-old woman with significant injuries to her head, police said.

She was transported to the Queen’s Medical Center and was in serious condition as of June 30, police said.

The woman had gone to the property manager’s office to get a package when he hit her from behind with an unknown object, police said.

Other residents heard her screaming and they called 911, police told Hawaii News Now.

Officers didn’t specify what led to the attack.

The investigation remains ongoing, but the man was arrested and is facing an attempted murder charge, police said.
