Gambler bets $5 on popular slot machine — then hits jackpot at casino near Vegas

A gambler turned a $5 bet into a big jackpot prize at a casino near Las Vegas.

The player sat at a Dragon Link slot machine at the Aliante Casino Hotel Spa, the casino said in a July 10 Facebook post.

The guest bet $5 on the progressive slot on July 3, hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the screen.

Now the player is $127,637.38 richer.

“Please help us congratulate this guest for turning a $5 bet into a $127k win on Dragon Link!” the casino said.

Aliante Casino Hotel Spa is in North Vegas, about a 20-mile drive north from the Las Vegas Strip.

Another gambler recently hit a jackpot in Las Vegas.

The player bet $1.50 on a slot machine on July 9 at the Fremont Hotel & Casino and won more than $22,000.
