Man goes to ex’s home, threatens her and is then run over by teen, AZ cops say
A man went to his ex’s house to threaten and ended up hospitalized, Arizona officials said.
On Aug. 18, Buckeye officers got reports of shots being fired, according to a Facebook post by the city’s police department.
Officers arrived and found an injured man with a gun nearby, police said.
Police said an investigation revealed the man went to his ex-girlfriend’s house in violation of a protection order and threatened her.
A teen living in the home told the man to leave, police said. Then, the man fired the gun, according to the police department.
Later, the teen got into his own car to leave when he saw the man’s truck, police said.
The teen said the man got out of his truck and pointed a gun at him, so the teen ran him over, police said.
The man was hospitalized for his injuries and is in critical condition, police said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
Buckeye is about a 40-mile drive southwest from Phoenix.
