A 66-year-old was arrested after being accused of hiding a camera in a park’s bathroom, Oregon officials said.

On July 23, Linn County deputies responded to McKercher Park after getting reports of a hidden camera in a bathroom, according to a Sept. 10 Facebook post by the sheriff’s office.

An investigation led officers to a suspect, later identified as Timothy Lawrence O’Brien of Eugene, deputies said.

On Sept. 8, officers searched O’Brien’s home and found evidence related to the crime, deputies said.

O’Brien was arrested and taken to Linn County Jail on several charges of invasion of personal privacy, the release said.

Officers believe O’Brien has “secretly filmed others with hidden video cameras, specifically juveniles” and urge anyone with information to call 541-967-3950.

Linn County is about a 110-mile drive southeast of Portland.
