Man wins huge lottery prize in MI. ‘What am I going to do with all this money?’
A Michigan man was bummed when he realized someone won the Keno jackpot, until he realized he was the big winner.
The Otsego County man bought his Club Keno The Jack ticket from a store in Gaylord, an Oct. 2 news release from the Michigan Lottery said.
“I play Club Keno every now and then, but I only play The Jack when it gets over $100,000,” he told lottery officials.
The 45-year-old man bought a ticket for 30 draws and said if the draws were still going when he got home, he would go have a drink somewhere and watch the rest.
“I got on the Lottery app to see what draw it was on and was bummed when I saw someone had won The Jack. I scanned my ticket to check it and was stunned when I found out I was the big winner,” he said.
The man matched nine numbers to win the jackpot of $564,219.
“All I could think was: ‘What am I going to do with all this money?’ It was a good feeling,” he said.
He said he plans to invest his winnings.
Gaylord is about a 235-mile drive northwest from Detroit.
