See raw footage of U.S. airstrikes in Syria as Islamic State territory declared ‘eliminated’

The U.S. military this week released raw footage of airstrikes by coalition forces on Islamic State targets in Syria.

The footage comes on news Friday that the White House has declared all Islamic State-held territory in Syria “100 percent” eliminated, even though sporadic fighting continues on the ground between coaltions forces and the IS holdouts.

The video was released March 20, 2019, but the airstrikes occurred on January 4 and January 10, according to the military.

“Coalition Forces maintain a level of situational awareness and readiness to engage the enemy with efficient, effective and precise measures,” the Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve said in text accompanying the video. “The Coalition still remains resolute and continues the undying effort to defeat Daesh.”

Daesh is the Arabic language acronym for Islamic State used by the military.
