California Assembly honors women

The California Assembly honored 80 women Monday as part of the annual Women of the Year celebration to commemorate Women’s History Month.

Each member of the Assembly designates a woman who has made a significant contribution to the community.

The annual recognition ceremony has been held since 1987, though the Senate discontinued its floor ceremony several years ago. Here is a list, compiled by the Legislative Women’s Caucus, of all honorees, by district, since 1991.
