Here, in less than two minutes of a lengthier speech to local water officials Wednesday, the Democratic governor packed in toilet efficiency, outer space and his own, youthful dumping of a bag of old Christmas cards:

A spokesman for the governor said Brown dumped the Christmas cards a few blocks from his childhood home, near the Laguna Honda Reservoir in San Francisco.
