California Gov. Gavin Newsom held his daily coronavirus press conference about the state’s response to COVID-19 at noon Friday.

Newsom’s Friday news conference is scheduled at the same time as a protest at the Capitol, where demonstrators are already gathering with signs that criticize the governor and decry his stay-at-home order.
