Paul Pelosi, husband of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, is set to appear in court on Aug. 3 following his May DUI arrest.

The California Highway Patrol arrested Pelosi on May 29 and reported a .08 blood-alcohol level. He was released the next day on $5,000 bail. The Associated Press reported that the arrest came after Pelosi’s Porsche was hit by another vehicle near Yountville, Calif.

Pelosi’s Aug. 3 court date is slotted for 8:30 a.m. in Napa County Superior Court. The announcement comes amid internet speculation about the status of the charges. According to a Thursday morning press release from Napa County District Attorney Allison Haley, her office has not yet decided what, if any, charges Pelosi will face. This is “standard protocol” for Napa County DUI cases, according to Haley.

“No decision has been made at the time,” Haley said. “Any speculation to the contrary is incorrect. When a filing decision is made by the Napa County District Attorney, the media and public will be notified.”

If charges are filed, Pelosi will be arraigned at the Aug. 3 court date.
