Former President Bill Clinton is expected in Sacramento on May 23 to raise money for his wife’s presidential campaign.
Tickets for the event, at the home of former state Treasurer Phil Angelides, will start at $500, according to a note from organizers.
Hillary Clinton, the Democratic frontrunner, campaigned in California last week, while her challenger, Bernie Sanders, rallied crowds in Sacramento and Stockton on Monday and Tuesday.
Even in the run-up to the state’s June 7 primary election, however, California remains far more prominent as a donor state. Clinton has raised more than $30 million here.
