Hillary Clinton, campaigning throughout the state in the run-up to the primary election, plans to appear at a public event in Sacramento on Sunday evening, local organizers said.

The location and time of the event was unclear.

Clinton returned to California on Thursday and planned to deliver a speech on national security that day in San Diego before campaigning in El Centro and Perris.

Her primary opponent, Bernie Sanders, has been campaigning furiously throughout the state despite the near-certainty that Clinton will win the nomination. The race in California has tightened to an effective tie ahead of the Tuesday primary election.
