The Bee wants your questions for Sacramento mayoral candidates
Do you have a question for Sacramento’s next mayor?
The Sacramento Bee is partnering with Channel 10 (KXTV), Capital Public Radio and California State University, Sacramento and its Associated Students Inc. to host a May 9 debate ahead of the June mayoral election. The event will include questions submitted by readers, viewers and students.
Three candidates are expected to attend: Councilwoman Angelique Ashby, former state Senate leader Darrell Steinberg and former boxing champion Tony Lopez.
The hourlong event will begin at 3 p.m. on the Sacramento State campus and will be streamed live at Sacbee.com and partner websites, as well as broadcast live on Channel 10 and Capital Public Radio.
To submit your debate question for the mayoral candidates, send an email by noon on Thursday, April 28, to metro@sacbee.com that also includes your name, city of residence and daytime telephone number. If your question is considered for use in the debate, we will contact you by phone.
