Read the report: California DOJ investigates after-hours bar visits by state lottery managers
The state Department of Justice investigated the California State Lottery after whistleblowers sent anonymous letters to Govs. Jerry Brown and Gavin Newsom.
The letter alleged misconduct by sales division managers including visits to a piano bar after sales conferences. The report determined the managers risked discrediting the lottery with their conduct.
