Associate governmental program analyst | Permanent, full-time

  • Department: California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services
  • Location: Sacramento County
  • Salary: $5,855 to $7,327 monthly

The associate governmental program analyst works with local, state and federal agencies, as well as nonprofit organizations and private groups, to connect communities with recovery resources, technical help and possible funding.

Duties include organizing and delivering state support for disaster recovery.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, according to CalCareers.

Big game biologist | Permanent, full-time

  • Department: Fish and Wildlife
  • Location: Mono County

Other duties include analyzing data, preparing reports and providing input on environmental projects.

Electrical undergrounding analyst | Limited, full-time

  • Department: Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety
  • Location: Anywhere in California.
  • Salary: $7,748 to $9,703 monthly

The electrical undergrounding analyst helps develop technical guidelines and review utility plans to move power lines underground, aiming to reduce wildfire risk across California.

The position allows up to three days of telework per week, but you must live in California and occasionally report to the nearest office in Sacramento, San Francisco or Lakewood, depending on your location, CalCareers said.

  • Department: Technology
  • Location: Sacramento County
  • Salary: $6,323 to $10,230 monthly

The information technology policy analyst helps create and manage statewide tech policies to ensure they follow state laws.

Duties include supporting IT planning, managing tech cost data and analyzing ways to improve how to make state IT systems work more efficiently.

The state park interpreter creates and leads statewide programs that help the public understand California’s natural resources and how they’re affected by climate change, including sea level rise, wildfires and biodiversity loss.

Duties include building partnerships, supporting staff training and helping develop educational materials in multiple languages for park visitors across the state.
