Video: 3-2-1, BAM! Caltrans blasts boulder blocking highway
In case you’re someone who thinks that state work is a life of cubicles and computer screens, this video might change your mind.
A Caltrans crew blew up an 800-pound boulder blocking Highway 50 near Wrights Lake Road in the Sierra at about 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. At around 4:20 p.m., officials closed both lanes of the freeway for 10 minutes to blast the rock. Check it out.
