We want to find the Sacramento area’s cutest cat. The Bee is taking contest submissions now
UPDATE: Vote here!
Editor’s note: We were blown away by your adorable felines and received roughly 200 submissions. Due to the incredible response rate, we have to do things differently. We will have four polls of roughly 50 cats per contest, grouped by order of submission. From each round, 16 will move on to a bracket competition to crown the winning capital-region cat. Round 1 of voting has opened, with the first 50 cat submissions.
Think your feline friend is purr-fect? The Bee needs your help to crown the Sacramento area’s cutest cat.
From Thursday, Aug. 22, to Sunday, Aug. 25, we’re collecting submissions. Here’s how the process (or paw-cess) works:
You can nominate your cat (or cats) by emailing snapshots@sacbee.com. Tell us about your cat: their name, age and how they came into your life.
Here’s what to include in your email:
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Your cat’s name
- Your cat’s age
- Your cat’s breed (if you know)
- Their favorite hobby or a fun fact
- How your cat came into your life
- Where in the Sacramento area your cat lives
- A picture of your cat
Voting begins Monday, Aug. 26. You must be a subscriber to vote.
Votes reset after each round, and voting will end at 11:59 p.m.
If you’re a subscriber, you will be able to vote as many times as you want. To subscribe, visit sacbee.com/subscribe for a list of offers, including your first month for 99 cents.
The winner will be featured on sacbee.com with a story about the winning cat and their owner.
