Northbound Highway 99 reopens after major collision
All lanes of Highway 99 have reopened after a collision closed the thoroughfare early Friday morning, CHP said.
CHP Valley Division said “SR-99 northbound is currently closed at 12th Avenue in South Sacramento due to a traffic collision. Please use alternate routes. Unknown time of reopening,” in a post on social media around 7 a.m. Friday.
The highway later reopened, according to CHP’s traffic incident page.
Caltrans cameras showed traffic moving on northbound Hiighway 99 by 7:30 a.m.
