For anyone who thought the temperature in Sacramento was unseasonably warm Monday, here’s some validation. The high tied a record that was set more than three decades ago.
According to the National Weather Service, the high recorded at Sacramento Executive Airport was 73 degrees, tying a record set Feb. 10, 1988. The high for downtown Sacramento fell one degree short tying the record of 74 degrees on the same day.
This is the first record temperature set or matched in Sacramento since Dec. 8, according to a news release from NWS
Temperatures in Sacramento are expected to hover around the low 70s on Tuesday before dropping to the mid to high 60s on Wednesday and through the end of the week.
